On the 18th of August Gary Young is going to undertake a 60 hour non-stop DJ set / radio broadcast in the hope of raising funds for a very deserving charity – Nordoff Robbins Scotland .

Last year Gary completed a 50 hour live broadcast from the Groove City Radio Studio and we were totally blown away that he actually stood there for 50 hours and he didn’t even play the same song twice…  I’m sure he will have the same afterhours support from the usual suspects and an added bonus this time round we will also be Facebook Live streaming the full thing as well as the radio broadcast…

Last year we had a mad dash auction / bidding war from listeners to win the choice of the last song that was played… So we are going to do the same again this year… And if you want a song played, it can be any song at all, with a shoutout, you can donate to the just giving page and add your song of choice with your donation….

Nordoff Robbins use music therapy to help all ages of people with a variety of disabilities and conditions including Autism and Dementia.

The challenge will run from 10am on Fri 18th Aug until 10pm Sun 20th Aug and will be broadcast live on Groove City Radio – .

If you would like to donate, you can do so on my justgiving page – – all donations will be greatly appreciated and even if you are not in a position to donate, then please visit the Nordoff Robbins Scotland website – – and find out more about the great work they do for so many people.

As we get nearer the date of the challenge we will give updates on how preparations are going and how you can possibly get involved in the challenge.

Remember music is something many of us take for granted, but it can be life-changing for others.
