DO YOU OWN THE DANCEFLOOR ? /// THE HAÇIENDA DOCUMENTARY FILM /// COMING TO GLASGOW – 23rd APRIL /// GLASGOW FILM THEATER

GROOVE CITY RADIO are delighted to be able to bring you a special one off exclusive interview  on Friday April 22nd with the man behind the making of the DO YOU OWN THE DANCEFLOOR documentary film that is coming to Glasgow for a one off screening at the Glasgow Film Theater on the 23rd of April @ 1pm the day after the main event at the SSE HYDRO

And in the studio to carry out the interview with film maker Chris Hughes

STREETrave & Colours legend

(so they say)

Iain BONEY Clark

Hopefully we may be joined by a couple of other surprise guests for the interview ahead of the event… We had a brief chat with Chris to ask his a few questions and he told us this…

Where do I start:)

I started with an idea about 8 yrs ago to make a film about the auction where the parts of the hacienda were sold off.

I went to the auction and bought a piece of the dancefloor. But I didn’t know how to make a film, never made one before.

Bumped into a neighbour who had a tv camera and asked him if he’d make a film about the hacienda and give all profits to charity .he said yes and off we went.

We’ve tracked down people who own items from the club and through their eyes we tell the story of the auction itself, the club and about what it was that made them want to own a piece of the hacienda.

Peter hook, Liam Gallagher, Graeme park, Mike Pickering, Dave Haslam and Clint boon are in it, to name a few.

The Hacienda weekend in Glasgow!

On April 23rd the day after the Hacienda Classical event at the Hydro we will be having a matinee showing of our film Do You Own The Dancefloor.

Following the film there will be a Q&A with Director and some of the cast.

Here’s the trailer for the film…vimeo.com/130747919
